Even with it's ups and downs, I do respect Omega Force for trying something new. The big open-world is still boring but it's starting to grow on me, especially since it's the only gameworld where I really feel like i'm taking part in a huge battlefield. I like the way the story is handled, kinda interesting to see a new way of telling the same old story in Dynasty Warriors. The combat is kinda smooth and the new combo system is quite nice. But then the patch came out and the framerate got a lot better, and I gave it a few more hours, and oh boy the game got better. The only thing I could think of while playing the first hour was: 'this is not the game I've been waiting for since DW8, almost 5 years ago'. I'm also not a big fan of open-world games anymore, since it's in every damn game nowadays. Horrible frame rate, worst voice acting since DW2, repetitive combat even by Warriors standard and overall a disappointing experience. Started playing the game a couple of days ago and first impressions were really bad. Being a longtime fan of the series I looked forward to Dynasty Warriors 9 quite a lot. I have played every Warriors/Musou game released in the west. Some are good, some are bad.īeing a Definitely not as bad as you think.
